EXETER, RI – According to ABC 6, a teen was injured after he slammed into a dump truck on South County Trail Monday.
The 17-year-old driver was heading north on South County trail when he swerved into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with the dump truck.
First responders transported the 17-year-old to an area hospital with minor injuries. It is unclear if the dump truck driver was injured.
Authorities believe the accident was caused by the 17-year-old’s excessive speed and inexperience.
The exact location on South County Trail where the crash happened is unclear at this time.
