PROVIDENCE, RI – A 15-year-old teenager on a scooter was sent to the hospital following a hit-and-run collision in Providence on Wednesday, WJAR10News said.
A car struck the teenage scooter rider at the intersection of Chalkstone Avenue and Academy Avenue. The teenage scooter rider suffered a fractured leg, and the driver did not render aid to the teenager or call 911 and immediately fled the scene.
EMS rushed the young scooter rider to the emergency room for treatment.
Police have not provided a description of the suspect or their vehicle, and continue to investigate the hit-and-run collision.
