2 injured in collision involving ambulance in Warren

WARREN, RI – Two people were injured in a collision involving an ambulance that took place on Market Street on Friday.

Warren Police told WJARNews10 that the incident unfolded at 7:15 p.m., when an ambulance crashed into a utility pole, resulting in downed wires and damage to the pole and other poles.

Police later determined that the ambulance driver was in the process of taking a patient to a medical facility when they suspect the motorist suffered a medical episode, which led to the crash.

The driver and the patient sustained minor injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
