PROVIDENCE, RI – A 19-year-old man was charged with Reckless Driving in connection with a crash that occurred during the Feast of St. Joseph over the weekend, WPRI reports.
This is an update in relation to the story we first covered on Tuesday. The 19-year-old man, identified as Michael Carnevale, had reportedly ignored the road blocks in place of the festival and weaved in and out of traffic before crashing his motorcycle into the outdoor tent.
Carnevale struck a 46-year-old man, identified as Christopher Woodley.
Woodley and Carnevale had to go to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
Woodley was treated for several broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder, and a gash on his head. Carevele was treated for minor injuries.
Police confirmed Carnevale operated a motorcycle without a valid driver’s license, insurance, or registration.
