Wheaton College student injured in Norton tractor-trailer crash

NORTON, MA – A Wheaton College student suffered serious injuries Wednesday after a tractor-trailer hit her while she was on foot in Norton, reports NBC 10 News.

The auto-pedestrian collision happened around 6 p.m. along Library Square, a short street near Norton Common and Wheaton College.

Officials say the student was alert and responsive but seriously injured after the impact. Emergency crews brought her to nearby Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for treatment.
