COVENTRY, RI – Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that injured two teen pedestrians in northeast Kent County over the weekend, reports 10 WJAR.
On Sunday night, emergency crews responded to a hit-and-run accident on Read Avenue in the city of Coventry, which is approximately three miles west of Warwick.
Officials haven’t yet commented on the cause or circumstances of the crash except to say that both victims were 15-years-old.
The driver involved in the crash did not stop to render aid or to speak with police.
Medics transported both pedestrians to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
