BRIDGEWATER, MA – A car fatally struck a pedestrian Tuesday evening in east-central Plymouth County, reports WHDH 7 News Boston.
Around 5:15 p.m. emergency responders were called to a n accident on Pleasant Street, or MA-104, north of Scotland Boulevard in Bridgewater, about 36 miles northeast of Providence.
Details of the crash remain limited. At this time, it’s unclear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk when the car struck them.
The pedestrian died after transport to an area hospital. Their name has not yet been released to the public.
The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
