Students uninjured in Warwick school bus crash on Quaker Ln

WARWICK, RI – A man sustained injuries Tuesday in a school bus crash along a major roadway in east-central Kent County, reports 10 WJAR.

The incident occurred sometime in the afternoon on Quaker Lane between Major Potter Road and Warwick Farms Drive in West Warwick.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a school bus carrying seven elementary school students left the roadway and crashed into a ditch.

The driver of the bus sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.

No injuries were reported among the students on the bus.

Officials placed the driver on administrative leave to allow time for an investigation.
