PAWTUCKET, RI – An 18-wheeler crashed Monday morning along the interstate in east-central Providence County, reports WPRI 12 News.
Shortly before 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to the semi crash along I-95 near Exchange Street in the city of Pawtucket, which is about 6 miles northeast of Providence.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the accident. They say that for unknown reasons, a semi-truck hauling beer overturned along the interstate.
Beer spilled across I-95, creating substantial traffic delays Monday morning.
At this time, it’s unclear if the truck driver or anyone else sustained injuries in the accident.
