WARWICK, RI – A 36-year-old man operating a scooter tried to turn left from Sharon Street to Main Avenue and collided with a pickup truck, leading him to suffer serious wounds Sunday.
This collision happened before 3:45 p.m. Police told Turnto10 that at the time of the crash, the pickup truck driver was going east while the scooter operator was going west.
First responders transported the scooter to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police also said that the scooter rider did not wear a helmet and had not released his name.
The pickup truck driver, a 42-year-old man from Warwick, remained at the scene. At this time, it is unclear if he will face charges.
