Female cyclist, 25, fatally hit by big rig in Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, RI – A 25-year-old woman riding a bicycle lost her life after she was struck by a tractor-trailer on Pleasant View Avenue Monday, Turnto10 said.

This collision happened around 9:30 p.m. Police have identified the woman as Aliana Ciacciarelli, a healthcare worker at Kent Hospital. 

Officers said this incident happened after the town’s fireworks display at Deerfield Park. They did not specify whether she rode her bike to see the fireworks display or specified other events behind this wreck.
