WRENTHAM, MA – A 50-year-old man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died after he tried to pursue a U-turn on Route 1, which led to a collision with another vehicle Friday.
Turnto10 said the events unfolded around 5:30 p.m. when the man, identified as Jose Ocasio from Mansfield, was driving a 2014 Mercedes CLA sedan when the other vehicle crashed into the driver’s side of the Mercedes as Ocasio attempted the turn.
Despite the nature of Friday’s wreck, the second driver was unharmed.
Officials closed the second and third lanes for two and a half hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
Police started an investigation and have not released other details at this time.
