WEST BRIDGEWATER, MA – A 33-year-old man died Sunday in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in northwest Plymouth County, reports NBC 10 Boston.
The accident occurred just before 7 a.m. on the southbound side of the Fall River Expressway before RI-106 in West Bridgewater.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a car rear-ended an Amazon Prime 18-wheeler along the expressway.
The driver of the passenger vehicle died at the scene. Authorities identified him as Carlos Monteiro of Taunton.
It’s unclear if the truck driver sustained injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
