PORTSMOUTH, RI – According to WJAR, the Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle collision that happened on the Mount Hope Bridge on Wednesday.
A Ford SUV driver was heading south when they strayed into the northbound lanes of traffic and collided with a blue Jeep SUV around 5:42 a.m.
Rescue crews transported both drivers to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Crews cleared the wreckage and the bridge reopened to traffic at 7:19 a.m.
