Newport Firefighter Facing DUI Charges: Injured 2 Teens

EXETER, RI – Two teenagers were injured, one critically, in a crash on Ten Rod Road over the weekend.

Alexander Krajewski, 30, of North Kingstown is facing charges for driving under the influence and driving to endanger in connection with the crash, reports WPRI. He has been identified as a firefighter for the city of Newport.

The teens were on their way to a West Warwick hockey rink when Krajewski crashed into their vehicle on Ten Rod Road.

They were both rushed to local hospitals. One is reported to be in stable condition, while the other teen remains in critical condition.
