CRANSTON, RI – A 23-year-old woman died last week in a two-vehicle rollover collision that happened along the interstate in Cranston, reports WJAR 10.
Around 3:30 p.m. on the day before Thanksgiving, emergency crews responded to a fatal crash on I-295 between Scituate Avenue and RI-12.
Police say that a vehicle forcefully ran another vehicle off of the interstate, causing it to hit and tree and overturn.
The driver of the crashed vehicle, identified as Casey Bassignani of Johnston, died after transport to an area hospital.
Authorities charged the other driver, identified as 43-year-old Juan Archila of Providence, with driving to endanger.
The investigation is ongoing.
