TIVERTON, RI ā A 19-year-old male teenager was suspected of driving at a high rate, leading his car to crash, roll over, and catch on fire, resulting in him suffering serious wounds Tuesday.Ā
This wreck occurred around 1 a.m. near Fish Road and Hooper Street at the Rhode Island and Massachusetts state line, WPRI reported. Police said the teenager, the sole occupant of the car, was going south on Fish Road and drifted into the northbound lanes, leading him to hit a rock before the vehicle went airborne and rolled over several times, ejecting him in the process. The automobile burst into flames after traveling for approximately 370 Ā feet.Ā
The driver is currently recovering at a hospital.Ā
