TIVERTON, RI – A cyclist had to go to the hospital after getting hit by a vehicle in Tiverton on Wednesday, 10WJAR reports.
The bicycle-vehicle crash happened before 6:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 2970 Main Road. Police determined that the cyclist was preparing to turn left when he was struck by a vehicle.
EMS crews rushed to the scene and transported the young man to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose his current physical condition or say if he was released.
Police confirmed the driver, a 23-year-old woman, a Tiverton local, stayed at the scene. As of this writing, no charges were filed against her.
Police are continuing to determine the events that led to the bicycle-vehicle crash.
