Attleboro Woman Charged With DUI in Crash; Injured Jogger

Thirty-three-year-old Attleboro, Massachusetts resident Mary Elliott was arraigned on Thursday, September 8 in Taunton District Court on charges of drunken driving and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident on Route 44 West in Seekonk on Sunday, September 4 at around 5 p.m. that resulted in a jogger suffering from serious injuries.

Judge Kevin Cunningham set an initial hearing for her case on Oct. 21, 2016. After paying the bail of $5,000, Elliott was given instructions to remain alcohol-free throughout the days before the hearing. She will also be subjected to random screenings and should report daily to the probation department.

Elliott’s other charges are the reckless operation of a vehicle and crossing marked lines.
