REHOBOTH, MA – Police are investigating a Christmas Eve accident that split a telephone pole in western Bristol County, reports abc 6.
Sometime in the afternoon, emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash along US-44, or Winthrop Street, near Broad Street in the city of Rehoboth, which is about 12 miles northeast of Providence.
While details are limited, authorities say that a vehicle rolled after hitting and snapping the pole.
It’s not yet clear if anyone involved in the accident sustained injuries.
Officials closed US-44 in the area of the collision while crews gathered evidence and worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
