PROVIDENCE, RI – A collision in the Cranston area caused delays for drivers on RI-37 Sunday night.
According to Rhode Island DoT, the crash happened at about 8:48 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway along Exit 1 E to Pontiac Avenue.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, the exit ramp was blocked for some time afterward while crews worked to remove the wreckage from the scene.
