PROVIDENCE, RI – Several officers suffered injuries while responding to a loud group of partiers in Providence early Saturday morning.
According to WLNE, officers received several noise complaints around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. The police entered a building near the 900 block of Chalkstone Avenue near Parkway Avenue and asked the “unruly patrons” to leave.
Several suspects did not comply and were placed under arrest. Two officers suffered injuries as the suspects were resisting arrest.
20-year-old Alexander Sosa Mercedes was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct. 25-year-old Rudy Sepulveda was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction. 25-year-old Eliezer Melero was arrested for possession of a firearm without a license.
