BARRINGTON, RI – According to WJAR, officials have released the name of the motorcyclist who died following a wreck on Barneyville Rd on Thursday.
Michael R. Dumont, 34, was riding a motorcycle on Barneyville Rd when he strayed off the roadway and collided with a large rock around 10:11 p.m.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on Dumont and revived him before transporting him to an area hospital, where he died.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the incident. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck.
