Hit-and-run involving stolen car traps woman in car in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI – A woman was injured in an accident involving a stolen vehicle on Thursday morning, according to ABC 6.

The injury collision took place close to 5:30 a.m. when a black Toyota struck a car at Atwells and Academy Avenues, trapping a woman inside her vehicle.

The Toyota continued on to crash into the basement of a home on that corner. The driver then fled the scene.

Responders extricated the woman from her car before transporting her to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
