PROVIDENCE, RI – A hit-and-run driver struck and killed an elderly woman near N Main St and Doyle Ave on Wednesday, according to WJAR.
The driver hit Vanda Makovetskiy, 85, as she and her husband were on their daily walk around 6 a.m. The driver then sped off.
Rescue crews transported Makovetskiy to an area hospital, where she died.
