PROVIDENCE, RI – At least two people had to be extricated from a vehicle following an apparent collision Thursday night, August 15, in southwest Providence, reports 10 WJAR.
Emergency crews were seen responding to the scene on Pocasset Avenue, in the city’s Silver Lake neighborhood. The incident was first reported by 10 WJAR at 8:43 p.m.
While information remains limited at this time, one witness said responding police officers had to cut open the door of a vehicle that was damaged in the wreck.
Two people were observed in that vehicle, but it was not immediately clear whether they were seriously injured and/or had to be hospitalized following the incident.
