WOONSOCKET, RI – Five people were hurt when a driver fleeing from authorities crashed into multiple vehicles on Social St Friday, according to WJAR.
Craig Washington, 20, was driving a black sedan and was fleeing from police when he turned onto Social St. Washington then collided with three vehicles, which caused his car to roll over onto its roof.
Washington exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Authorities located Washington and arrested him. They charged him with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, obstruction, and resisting arrest. Officers also took Washington’s passenger into custody.
Both Washington and his passenger suffered minor injuries in the incident. Rescue crews transported three others to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
