PROVIDENCE, RI – A teen driver died after crashing into a parked vehicle on Niantic Ave Monday, WJAR reports.
According to police, it was raining around 12:30 a.m. when the 17-year-old driver was speeding and failed to negotiate a turn, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into the parked car.
Following the collision, the four occupants, two 17-year-old boys, a 23-year-old man, and a 23-year-old woman, were all taken to a local hospital. They are in stable condition.
Nobody was in the truck at the time of the collision.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
The exact location on Niantic Ave where the accident happened is unclear.
