PROVIDENCE, RI – At least one lane was blocked following a crash on I-95 in downtown Providence this afternoon.
According to a report by the Rhode Island DoT, the crash took place at about 2:42 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near the exit to Atwells Avenue.

Few details regarding the cause of the crash are available at this time. However, at least one right lane was closed as a result, causing significant traffic delays in the region.
