PROVIDENCE, RI – Several people were injured in a crash involving five vehicles in Providence Wednesday morning.
According to the Fall River Reporter, the crash happened on I-95 southbound just south of the Route 6 West ramp.
A driver in a semi-truck hit the rear of one vehicle while side-swiping a separate vehicle. The driver then swerved to the left of the roadway and struck a barrier and then to the right. Two additional vehicles were struck before the semi crashed into the right-side barrier and came to rest across all lanes.
Four drivers were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries.
