Sedan driver hospitalized after crash with garbage truck in Pawtucket 

PAWTUCKET, RI – A sedan driver was sent to a hospital following a collision involving a garbage truck that happened in the Darlington area Friday. 

The truck and sedan collided at the intersection of Benefit Street and Mendon Street, WJAR News 10 reports. Pawtucket police and fire crews responded to the scene after 7:30 a.m. 

The impact of the collision resulted in damage to a utility pole, downed power lines, and damage to the truck and black sedan. 

Officers have not shared exactly how the crash unfolded, but did say that traffic citations are on the way.
