Pedestrian suffers head injury in Pawtucket hit-and-run

PAWTUCKET, RI – A pedestrian suffered a head injury in an overnight hit-and-run near Broadway and Central Avenue in Pawtucket, reports NBC 10 News.

The crash happened early Saturday at around 12:45 a.m. Pawtucket police said the pedestrian had been walking near Broadway and Central when the vehicle struck them.

The driver reportedly left before officers could respond to the scene. Authorities have not released a description of the vehicle.

Emergency crews took the pedestrian to a hospital. Police said they had sustained a head injury that did not appear life-threatening.
