Pawtucket police arrest hit-and-run driver

PAWTUCKET, RI – According to WJAR, an alleged hit-and-run driver was injured while fleeing from police near Columbus Ave and Stephanie Dr Friday.

The driver of a stolen vehicle collided with an unoccupied vehicle on Lowden St around 11 p.m. Police began pursuing the car when an officer saw a damaged car driving on Division St.

The police pursuit ended when they hit two telephone poles and caused a power outage.

Authorities arrested the driver and transported them to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
