MENDON, MA – A man and his teenage son died last Friday night when their vehicle was knocked into the Nipmuc Pond in Mendon, WCVB reports.
The incident took place at 10:30 when 34-year-old Edwin A. Sosa was pulling out of the parking lot of Alicante Restaurant & Lounge on Uxbridge Road. Sosa’s vehicle then collided with a Ford F-350 towing a car hauler, causing it to hit a parked car and slide down a 20-food embankment into the pond.
Both Sosa and his 15-year-old son were pulled from the pond and taken to a local hospital, where they were both pronounced dead.
