PAWTUCKET, RI – According to WJAR, a driver fatally collided with a pedestrian on I-95 NB near Ext 41A on Friday.
Avelino Gonsalves, 79, was walking in the lanes of the highway when a driver struck him around 7 p.m.
Rescue transported Gonsalves to an area hospital, where he died.
The Pawtucket Police department is investigating the incident.
