LINCOLN, RI – Two people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle collision in Lincoln on Monday night.
According to a report by WPRI, the crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. on Twin River Road just west of RI-146.
Witnesses told police the vehicle drifted to the right side of the roadway and slammed into a light pole.
The driver, a 69-year-old Johnston man, was unconscious when paramedics arrived. His 89-year-old passenger was conscious but could not recall what occurred.
Both occupants were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
