PAWTUCKET, RI – Authorities are reporting minor injuries in connection to a two-vehicle crash that happened on Valentine’s Day in eastern Providence County.
According to 10 WJAR, emergency crews responded to a major accident on East Avenue in Pawtucket around 7:15 p.m. This is around six miles northeast or Providence.
Police say that a vehicle overturned after sideswiping another car. The investigation indicates that the driver of the overturned vehicle had been driving recklessly and passing multiple other vehicles prior to the accident.
Medics transported the driver to an area hospital with non-critical injuries. He faces a charge of reckless driving.
Officials closed East Avenue in the area of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
