NORTHBRIDGE, MA – Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian Wednesday night in southern Massachusetts, reports Boston 25 News.
Just before 9:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a fatality accident on Providence Road, or RI-122, in Northbridge. This is about 34 miles northwest of Providence.
Police haven’t yet determined in the pedestrian was standing in or along the roadway when the vehicle hit them.
Authorities pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. They’ve not been identified.
The driver involved in the accident remained on site and cooperated with police.
A full investigation is underway.
