NEWPORT, RI – Rhode Island Department of Transportation crews cleared the scene of a crash on Rhode Island 138 West 34 minutes after it happened Tuesday.

The collision, reported before the Newport Bridge leading to Jamestown was announced at 4:23 p.m. and cleared by 4:57 p.m. Since officials took less than an hour to clear the scene, they are suggesting the crash was minor. Still, the exact cause of this wreck, including the kind of people and vehicles, as well as injuries and hospitalizations have not been added.
