Man found guilty of driving to endanger resulting in death for Middletown crash

MIDDLETOWN, RI – According to WJAR, a man was found guilty of driving to endanger for a fatal crash on 3rd Beach Rd and Corderio Terrace on Nov. 30.

Matthew Jones, 38, was driving a Porsche 911 when he crashed on Oct. 20, 2018.. Jones’ wife, Kory Jones, was thrown from the car. She died from her injuries.

Superior Court Justice William E. Carne sentenced Jones to two years at the ACI with four years of suspension. Jones will also lose his license for five years.

Jones has filed an appeal to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. They have released him on a $10,000 bond while the appeal is pending.
