Suspected impaired driver crashes head-on with another vehicle in Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, MA – According to WJAR, two people were hurt when a suspected impaired driver slammed into another vehicle on Chase Rd and Lucy Little Rd Friday.

Jacob Thomas, 19, was driving a Ford Escape when he collided with a Nissan Altima around 5 p.m.

First responders extricated the Nissan driver from the vehicle and transported them and Thomas to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities arrested Thomas and charged him with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stay within marked lanes, operating under the influence of drugs, and having an open container of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
