Fire crews respond to vehicle fire on RI 99 near LincolnĀ 

NEAR LINCOLN, RI ā€“ Local fire crews were summoned to a vehicle fire on Woonsocket Industrial Highway, also known as RI 99, before 5 p.m. Thursday.Ā 

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation indicated that the automobile fire was temporarily blocking one right lane before the scene cleared at approximately 5:21 p.m.Ā 

Firefighters did not reveal how long it took to extinguish the flames from the vehicle or state whether the fire was caused by mechanical issues or was a result of a crash.Ā 

In addition, officials have not revealed whether any occupants sustained injuries.Ā
