JOHNSTON, RI – According to WJAR, a driver hit a nun near St. Rocco’s Church and School on Atwood Ave on Wednesday.
The driver of a Nissan Rogue had stopped to let Daisy Kollamparampil, 55, cross the street when they were rear-ended by a Dodge Durango driver around 6:40 p.m.
The collision sent the Rogue crashing into Kollamparampil.
Rescue crews transported Kollamparampil to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities cited the Durango driver with multiple motor vehicle violations.
