HANSON, MA – Authorities have identified a man who died Monday evening when his pickup struck a High Street residential home in Hanson, reports 7 News WHDH.
The deceased has been identified as Brian Crowley, 58, of Hanson. Authorities say people nearby called 911 after the wreck at around 6:22 p.m. on May 18.
Police and firefighters responding to the scene found a Chevrolet pickup on its side. The vehicle reportedly entered the front portion of the house before coming to a stop.
Crowley remained pinned in the truck and was unresponsive when rescuers arrived. There were no passengers in the vehicle. Firefighters used specialized rescue equipment to free Crowley. Medics then took him to Brockton Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
There were no reported injuries to the people in the home.
Police closed part of High Street during the response. Crews later removed the damaged pickup from the scene.
Investigators do not believe speeding contributed to the crash. Authorities continue to examine what may have led to the collision.
