FALL RIVER, MA – A 9-year-old was injured at about 7:45 p.m. Friday evening after a car hit the child on Choate Street in Fall River, reports WCVB.
Authorities believe the vehicle was carrying a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound at the time of the crash. Investigators say the motorist initially left the area after the collision to transport the teen to a hospital, but then returned to the scene.
Neither the child nor the teenager is reportedly in critical condition. Fall River police continue to examine both the collision and the shooting. Officials have not announced any charges.
