SWANSEA, MA – According to WJAR, police arrested a suspected drunk driver following a head-on collision on Swansea Mall Dr on Thursday.
One of the drivers was heading north in the southbound lanes when they collided head-on with another vehicle around 8 p.m. The collision caused one of the vehicles to become engulfed in flames.
Rescue crews transported both drivers, a 20-year-old male and a 53-year-old male, to an area hospital.
Authorities arrested the 53-year-old man for suspected operating under the influence of liquor.
