MANSFIELD, MA – According to WJAR, authorities are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened on East St Saturday.
A permitted driver was operating a Toyota Corolla with a road test agent in the front passenger seat and John Masciarelli, 80, in the back seat when they collided with a Ford Explorer around 8:30 a.m.
Masciarelli appeared to have a medical episode following the wreck. Rescue crews transported Masciarelli to an area hospital, where he died.
First responders also transported the Corolla driver, the Corolla’s front-seat passenger, and the driver of the Ford Explorer to an area hospital.
