Man charged after hitting Providence house on Gemini Dr

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – An East Providence house sustained structural damage Friday night in a crash caused by a drunk driver, reports 10 WJAR.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Gemini Drive, which is just east of the Metacomet Golf Club and west of Edward R. Martin Middle School.

Police say that 19-year-old Christopher Cabral was intoxicated and driving recklessly when his vehicle struck a town home.

Nobody was hurt in the crash, but the town home was significantly damaged and deemed unsafe for habitation.

Cabral was charged for DUI and reckless driving.

The investigation is ongoing.
