EAST GREENWICH, RI – Rhode Island Department of Transportation crews cleared a crash on northbound RI 4 along Route 401 before 6:30 p.m.

Crews said the crash (reported at 4:59 p.m.) was initially blocking a left and center lane prior to the scene clearance. Since crews took more than an hour to clear the scene, they are suggesting that the collision was serious.
Authorities who were called to the scene have not confirmed the exact cause of this crash or listed the sort of people and vehicles involved.
