Update: Man, 42, sent to hospital after Cumberland collision

CUMBERLAND, RI – A 42-year-old man was hospitalized after crossing High Street along St. John’s Ukrainian Cemetery Wednesday

Police said that the man was walking with a family member at the time of the wreck, according to WJAR News Channel 10

The victim’s family member does not appear to have been physically harmed while the victim is recovering from serious wounds at Rhode Island Hospital. At this time, he is in stable condition.

Officers did not verify if slick road conditions played a part in the crash. They did, however, confirm that the driver was not speeding and was not distracted while operating their motor vehicle.

No seem to have been filed against the driver as they stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
